ARE THE INTERNSHIPS PAID?
Our work placements are unpaid but will prove to be invaluable in opening doors for your future and the rewards you will gain from this experience will last for a lifetime!
WHAT IS THE DURATION OF THE INTERNSHIPS?
The duration of the work placement highly depends on the industry you want to work in, as well as your study and funding requirements. It can vary from a minimum of 3 weeks to 9 months, or longer.
HOW MANY HOURS PER WEEK DO I NEED TO WORK?
The hours usually range between 30-40 hours per week. However, this might vary depending on the requirements from your school and/or your personal preference. If you have a specific amount of hours per week you need to adhere to, let us know when you submit your application and we will inform the host company accordingly.
DO I NEED TO WORK DURING THE WEEKEND?
While this is not a requirement for most companies, certain industries (especially catering), would need more help during the weekends. If you would like to work only during weekdays, or require particular days off, kindly advise us of this beforehand so we can discuss it with the host company.
DO I NEED TO HAVE AN INTERVIEW WITH THE HOST COMPANY BEFORE BEING APPROVED FOR AN INTERNSHIP?
In some cases, the host companies might request to have an interview with you via Skype in order to get to know you more, and gauge your suitability for the role. When this happens, we will guide you, and provide you with the necessary information about the company and answer any questions you might have.
IS THERE A SPECIFIC DRESS CODE I NEED TO ADHERE TO FOR MY INTERNSHIP?
Most of the companies we work with have a smart casual dress code. Before you arrive in Malta we will always send you the company details together with the dress code.
WHEN CAN I START MY PLACEMENT?
We operate all year round. You can choose to apply for an internship at any time of the year.
WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO APPLY?
There is no deadline, but you should send us your CV and motivation letter at least 1 month prior to your arrival.
DO I NEED TO SEND YOU MY FLIGHT DETAILS?
Yes, we need to have your full flight details (date, time, flight number) at least 2 weeks prior to your arrival, so we can book you an airport transfer and prepare the apartment for your arrival.
IS YOUR AIRPORT TRANSFER OBLIGATORY AND DOES IT COME AT AN ADDITIONAL COST?
Airport transfers are obligatory for students who stay in our apartments and and do come at an additional cost. Our driver will meet you at the airport and take you to the apartment.
DO YOU PROVIDE ACCOMMODATION?
Yes, you can choose to stay in our shared self-catering apartments. All apartments are comfortably furnished and have an equipped kitchen with comfortable living area. Each apartment has a washing machine and an ironing board. You will be provided with sheets, blankets and towels. Electricity, water, gas and weekly maid service are also included in the accommodation price. Kindly visit our accommodation page for more details.
BY WHEN SHOULD I SETTLE THE PAYMENT FOR YOUR SERVICES?
You are expected to pay in full by bank transfer at least 2 weeks prior your arrival to Malta and send a copy of payment confirmation to your Easy Job Bridge coordinator.
